What is Duromine?

Duromine is the commercial trade name for Phentermine. It is available primarily in Australia and New Zealand. Duromine is an appetite suppressant and it is often given to people who are obese. It is used a short term solution for weight loss and combine that with good diet, exercise and behavior modification it can be very effective. It is often prescribed to people who have a higher than normal medical risk because of their weight. It simply works by releasing specific chemicals into the brain that help to control appetite.

How Does Duromine Work?

As stated above Duromine contains phentermine. Phentermine primarily works on the transmitters that are located in the brain. It stimulates the central nervous system and helps to stimulate certain part of the brain to release specific chemicals. These chemicals such as dopamine and adrenalin are able to work to suppress the hunger mechanism in the body. Once released it often causes the body to not have hunger cravigns, as the brain is not receiving any hunger messages. In Duromine Phentermine is combined with a resin which slowly releases the phentermine so the effect of Duromine lasts all day.

What Duromine is used for?

As stated above Duromine is used primarily to reduce body weight in obese or overweight patients. This is a prescription drug, which means you have consultation and your doctor will determine if this drug is right for you.  The drug can be used in other purposes, so you need to ensure that you have been given it for the right purpose.

Duromine Storage Conditions

When storing Duromine you need to ensure that in is placed in a cool area where the temperature is or below 30°C. The tablets should be kept out of the reach out of children. They should also be kept in their packaging till they are ready to be used.
